A Revista de Epidemiologia e Controle de Infecção é a publicação oficial do Centro de Epidemiologia Hospitalar do Hospital Santa Cruz, em Santa Cruz do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Promoção da Saúde da Universidade de Santa Cruz do Sul. O corpo editorial é composto por profissionais de diversas instituições de ensino, com alta capacidade crítica e formadores de opinião. Esta revista é um dos “veículos” para a divulgação de experiências e estudos científicos relacionados à vigilância e ao controle de infecções, doenças de notificação compulsória, doenças infecciosas, saúde ocupacional e áreas afins. A Revista de Epidemiologia e Controle de Infecção é publicada três vezes ao ano e aceita artigos originais de pesquisa experimental e clínica, revisões sistemáticas da literatura, meta-análises, artigos de opinião, comunicações, imagens e cartas ao editor. Em situações apropriadas, poderão ser elaborados suplementos com temas específicos, como consensos, anais de conferências e séries especiais. O objetivo é apoiar a disseminação de ações realizadas na área da Epidemiologia, contribuindo de forma significativa para a compreensão e o controle de problemas de saúde que afetam a sociedade em diferentes níveis de atenção à saúde.
