La Revista de Ciencias Económicas (RCE) es una publicación interdisciplinaria semestral, de acceso abierto de la Universidad de Costa Rica. Objetivo Su objetivo es divulgar los aportes de las investigaciones desarrolladas por personas académicas nacionales e internacionales, sirviendo de medio de comunicación entre especialistas de la comunidad científica, de manera que se genere un diálogo entre pares ubicados en distintas latitudes, sobre el conocimiento en el área de las ciencias económicas. Público meta El público meta de la revista son las personas académicas nacionales e internacionales interesados en las ciencias económicas. Periodicidad La Revista de Ciencias Económicas cuenta con una periodicidad semestral y opera bajo la modalidad de publicación continua. Esto significa que los artículos se publican tan pronto se complete el proceso de revisión y edición. El primer fascículo del año abarca el período del 1 de enero al 30 de junio, mientras que el segundo va del 1 de julio al 31 de diciembre. Tipo de artículos RCE publica artículos de investigación y notas técnicas de personas investigadoras nacionales e internacionales, en idioma español o inglés. Áreas temáticas Cubre las áreas de Economía, Administración de Negocios, Estadística y Administración Pública. La Revista se publica en línea. La Revista de Ciencias Económicas promueve el acceso a la investigación científica, ya que no tiene tarifas de publicación. Los artículos pueden ser leídos o descargados de forma gratuita e inmediata luego de su respectiva publicación.
