La ReChTO publica, desde el año 2001, trabajos originales sobre temas de interés vinculados a la Ciencia de la Ocupación y a la Terapia Ocupacional. La revista establece un diálogo disciplinario que fortalece y respalda el desarrollo de conocimiento disciplinar, de modo de divulgar los conocimientos que se van generando. La ReChTO contribuye al propósito institucional de diálogo multidisciplinario en función de diferentes saberes, que orienten reflexión y respuestas para los variados aspectos que constituyen el desarrollo del país y la región. Su misión es divulgar investigaciones y conocimiento en torno a la Terapia Ocupacional y la Ciencia de la Ocupación de relevancia nacional e internacional. Y su objetivo general es promover la investigación en Terapia Ocupacional y Ciencia de la Ocupación, en una valoración de la interdisciplinariedad.
