Foco e Escopo A Revista Caatinga é um periódico científico publicado em fluxo contínuo, em volume único anual e sem numeração, classificada com Qualis A4, publicada pela Pró-Reitoria de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação da Universidade Federal Rural do Semi-Árido – UFERSA, desde 1976. Objetiva proporcionar à comunidade científica, publicações de alto nível nas áreas de Ciências Agrárias e Recursos Naturais, disponibilizando, integral e gratuitamente, resultados relevantes das pesquisas publicadas. Tem como missão: Instigar profissionais e estudantes sobre temas científicos de interesse nas áreas de publicação da Revista Caatinga; Promover interação entre a comunidade científica através da divulgação, integral e gratuita, dos seus periódicos; Servir como importante meio de educação continuada e permanente que possibilita intercâmbio de informações entre Instituições de ensino, pesquisa e extensão, outros veículos de informação e toda a sociedade. O público alvo da Revista Caatinga são todos os profissionais e estudantes das áreas de Ciências Agrárias e Recursos Naturais, bem como interessados nas temáticas propostas pela revista, por serem esses de relevantes interesses sociais que podem vir a contribuir para melhorias em importantes setores da sociedade. Podem ser aceitos para Publicação: ARTIGOS CIENTÍFICOS INDEXAÇÃO Como um controle bibliográfico concedido às chamadas ‘bases indexadoras’, é um processo importante como meio de divulgação de artigos científicos em bibliotecas eletrônicas ou outros tipos de repositórios; influenciam nos parâmetros para qualificação de um periódico. Atualmente, a Revista Caatinga está indexada nas bases: Processo de Avaliação pelos Pares Os manuscritos submetidos à Revista Caatinga serão, preliminarmente, avaliados pelo Comitê Editorial. Se aprovados, seguirão tramitando e, na etapa de AVALIAÇÃO, passarão por um processo de seleção que envolverá apreciação por especialistas que detenham amplo conhecimento nas áreas temáticas de publicação deste periódico. Os trabalhos serão enviados para avaliação sem a identificação de autoria, preservando a identidade dos autores e suas afiliações, em coerência à política de privacidade adotada. Todos os textos serão submetidos à avaliação de, pelo menos, 3(três) avaliadores pareceristas ad hoc obedecendo aos critérios propostos pela Revista Caatinga, para que possam fazer uma boa análise de mérito do manuscrito.
