Aims, scope and focus
Revista Brasileira de Direitos e Garantias Fundamentais is published by Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Pós-graduação em Direito (CONPEDI). By OpenAlex counts of its recent articles, its largest topics are Brazilian Legal Issues, Comparative constitutional jurisprudence studies and Public Health in Brazil, together about 54.6% of its articles. Its main subfields are Law. (generated from OpenAlex topic counts and CAS ranking data)
The Revista Brasileira de Direitos e Garantias Fundamentais is a biannual open-access publication edited by the National Council for Research and Graduate Studies in Law (CONPEDI). The journal publishes original doctrinal articles, Brazilian and foreign, by invited authors with significant expertise in the subject, in both the national and the international sphere.Submitted articles (in Portuguese, Spanish and English) necessarily go through the Double Blind Review system, in which each article is evaluated by Doctors of Law who do not know the authors, just as the authors do not know their reviewers. Evaluation is carried out by at least two ad hoc referees. If the scores differ by more than three points (on a scale from zero to ten), a third evaluation takes place. It should be stressed that the reviewers are professors in Master's and Doctoral programs in Law and were (and will continue to be) appointed by the coordinators of the stricto sensu graduate programs in Law throughout Brazil, recognized by CAPES/MEC.To ensure the longevity of the publications and make them easier to identify in the electronic environment, all accepted articles are registered in the Digital Object Identifier – DOI system. The issues are also announced on the Index Law Journals Facebook page <https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100012884325538>.Editorial management is automated through a system conceived by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), known as Open Journal Systems (OJS). The OJS platform adopted by this journal is known in Brazil as Sistema Eletrônico de Editoração de Revistas (SEER), translated and customized by the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology – IBICT.This journal is currently indexed in the following databases: Latindex (under evaluation); OpenAire; PKP INDEX; Ebsco Host; ErihPlus (under evaluation); Gale Cengage Learning; Redib; Livre; Dialnet (under evaluation) and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ, under evaluation). These international indexers aim to promote the dissemination and visibility of the articles published by the journal.
