Revista Bases de la Ciencia es una publicación científica arbitrada con frecuencia cuatrimestral, de edición continua en formato exclusivamente electrónico (e-ISSN: 2588-0764) gestionada por el Instituto de Ciencias Básicas de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, Portoviejo, Ecuador. Publica desde el año 2016 artículos originales, notas técnicas, comunicaciones cortas, artículos de divulgación y revisiones bibliográficas. A partir del año 2022 cubrira exclusivamente las áreas de Biología, Física, Matemática, Química y Geociencias que contengan resultados de investigación experimentales, teóricos y aplicados que representen aportes significativos al conocimiento y que no hayan sido propuestos simultáneamente a otras revistas. El proceso de envío de los manuscritos y gestión del proceso de arbitraje se realiza a través de la plataforma Open Journal Systems. Cuando las evaluaciones de los árbitros estén completas, se emitirá un dictamen a los autores para las correcciones y estas serán recibidas en un lapso no mayor a 45 días, en caso de evaluaciones con pequeñas modificaciones y no mayores a 60 dias, cuando haya modificaciones mayores.
