Revcom. Revista científica de la red de carreras de Comunicación Social es resultado del trabajo articulado de una veintena de carreras de Comunicación Social que en 1998 comenzaron a construir la Red de Carreras de Comunicación Social y Periodismo de la Argentina (REDCOM), para fortalecer el trabajo en un campo académico transdisciplinar en franca consolidación en cuanto a su producción científica en el marco de las ciencias sociales. Desde sus inicios, REDCOM desarrolla un congreso académico anual, de carácter federal, además de haber creado en 2013 una “Mesa de Investigación” donde los referentes de las distintas universidades debaten y coordinan políticas de investigación científica para el campo académico de la comunicación. Como parte y continuidad de ese trabajo, Revcom se plantea como un espacio de visibilidad académica y de intercambio de la producción científica entre docentes, especialistas, investigadores y estudiantes de las carreras de comunicación social y periodismo del país. Por esta razón, se buscará que los números publicados sean representativos de todas las universidades que participan de la red, habilitando las convocatorias abiertas para la presentación de artículos científicos ORIGINALES e INÉDITOS, e incorporando en el dossier temático aquellas áreas de interés que resulten relevantes para todos los miembros. Dirigida a investigadores/as, docentes, profesionales y estudiantes de posgrado, se edita en español y portugués, siempre y cuando sea la lengua materna del/la autor/a. La revista apoya el movimiento de acceso abierto al conocimiento como bien común, por lo que provee acceso inmediato y completo a todo su contenido y sus ediciones no tienen cargos ni para el autor ni para el lector. Asimismo, permite y promueve la publicación simultánea en sistemas de autoarchivo o en repositorios institucionales. --- RevCom fue creada en 2015 y se edita, desde entonces, en soporte electrónico. Desde la edición número 8 (2019), todos los materiales publicados en la revista cuentan con doi (Digital Object Identifier), recurso provisto por la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. Las versiones finales se ofrecen en formato pdf, html y epub.
