Realidad, Revista de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades es una publicación semestral de carácter académico que busca contribuir en las tareas de investigación y reflexión teórica sobre la realidad social, con especial interés en lo que compete a El Salvador y el área centroamericana. Publica artículos originales inéditos (a menos que, por razones especiales, se indique lo contrario) de autores nacionales y extranjeros y otros materiales de interés en las siguientes áreas: ciencias sociales (economía, sociología, psicología, ciencias de la comunicación, ciencias de la educación, urbanismo), humanidades (filosofía, estudios literarios y artísticos, historia). Esta publicación está dirigida a investigadores, docentes, profesionales, estudiantes y a la sociedad en general. Las contribuciones serán sometidas al dictamen de evaluación por pares en modalidad doble ciego y se recurre a dos especialistas en la materia correspondiente como mínimo. Las secciones arbitradas son ensayos y dossier; otras secciones no arbitradas de la revista incluyen reflexiones, reseñas, documentos y entrevistas.
