RChD: Creación y Pensamiento es una revista periódica bianual sin fines de lucro, editada por el Departamento de Diseño de la Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Chile. Se crea en 2006 con el nombre de “Revista Chilena de Diseño - RChD” y en 2016 pasa a llamarse RChD: Creación y Pensamiento. La revista promueve y contribuye a la investigación, la creación, el pensamiento crítico y la reflexión, vinculando conocimientos transdisciplinarios en torno al Diseño; cuyos alcances territoriales y espaciales son multiescalares, enfocados al compromiso social, la responsabilidad pública y la cultura. RChD: Creación y Pensamiento se publica con acceso abierto regularmente los meses de junio y noviembre de cada año. La revista cuenta con un Comité Científico internacional que colabora en la definición y el sustento estratégico y de la calidad de sus contenidos. Recibe artículos escritos en idioma español, inglés y portugués. Incorpora autoras/es y revisoras/es con diversas especialidades y orígenes. Los artículos publicados pasan por un proceso de evaluación de pares en modalidad doble ciego. El Equipo Editorial vela por la supervisión editorial y ética de la publicación. Cada artículo posee un código DOI lo que permite su conservación y posterior búsqueda. RChD: Creación y Pensamiento organiza en cada número los contenidos en: Editorial, Artículos y Otros Contenidos. La Editorial, presenta y abre los tópicos y problemáticas centrales de cada publicación. La sección de Artículos cuenta con trabajos que surgen de una convocatoria temática editada por invitadas/os nacionales o internacionales, anunciada periódicamente y de manera específica a través de un llamado público. Otros Contenidos, incluye artículos eventuales provenientes de la convocatoria permanente, ensayos, reseñas y entrevistas. RChD: Creación y Pensamiento publica sobre temas y áreas de interés tales como historia del diseño y la forma, prácticas y saberes con enfoques transdisciplinarios, pensamiento crítico de los mundos futuros en la esfera global y el enfoque latinoamericano; que han incluido reflexiones sobre lo afectivo, las materialidades, artesanía, alfabetización en diseño, productos en tiempos de crisis, diseño legal, diseño y antropología, diseño y feminismos, entre otros.
