1) Temática y descripción general Desde la reflexión constante acerca de las Ciencias Sociales y en especial referencia a estudios Latinoamericanos, la presente revista busca constituirse en un espacio de discusión sobre el estatuto teórico, metodológico, epistemológico y político de los estudios sociales. El objetivo principal de esta publicación es mantener un espacio de aportes para el diálogo permanente, desde Latinoamérica, sobre los estudios sociales abarcando la diversidad disciplinar que permita un abordaje complejo de los temas propios de las Ciencias Sociales en Latinoamérica, Argentina y la región. En este sentido, las áreas temáticas que cubre publicación son tres. Una de ellas vinculada a lo social en sentido amplio y las reflexiones que de ello pueda hacerse: la sociedad actual y sus principales problemáticas, lo cultural, la comunicación, lo colectivo y las prácticas de intervención. La segunda vinculada a problemas del espectro político, el derecho, la seguridad y las relaciones internacionales, así como de los objetos y prácticas de poder concretas que de ella se derivan. Finalmente, una tercera área vinculada a la reflexión económica y del desarrollo, desde abordajes propios de las ciencias económicas, como aquellos que promueven la reflexión sobre los procesos de cambio, desarrollo y transformación social. Así constituida, dada la amplitud de su temática y alcance, la revista promueve la discusión interdisciplinaria en el campo de las ciencias sociales, promoviendo la reflexión en torno a diferentes problemáticas abordadas en su sección Dossier, así como la reflexión constante sin límites temáticos o coyunturales desde su sección Artículos. Raigal es una revista interdisciplinar de Ciencias Sociales. Busca promover el debate crítico a través de la publicación de trabajos científicos centrados en el análisis de la problemática social de América Latina –pasada y presente– en un contexto territorial específico. Si bien la revista privilegiará las cuestiones de Ciencias Sociales en Latinoamérica, estará abierta a las temáticas provenientes de otras geografías, promoviendo con ello el desarrollo de una perspectiva comparada sobre las temáticas que abarca. La revista se publica en formato electrónico de manera anual (apareciendo el primer viernes hábil de abril de cada año) regida bajo Acceso Abierto de sus contenidos.
