Charakter pisma kształtuje koncepcja literaturoznawstwa dramatycznego. Celem pisma jest refleksja nad literaturą i sztuką, rozwijanie i formułowanie oryginalnych ujęć i propozycji teoretycznych, analitycznych i interpretacyjnych, które wyznaczają nowe obszary badawcze lub przeformułowują dawne w duchu humanistyki rozwijanej w dialogu, polemice, wymianie myśli.
