„Poznańskie Studia Polonistyczne. Seria Literacka” to literaturoznawczy półrocznik. Każdy numer pisma ma charakter monograficzny – jego główna część poświęcona jest wybranemu przez redakcję problemowi. Niezależny tematycznie od części głównej jest dział interpretacji („Konfrontacje”), w którym drukujemy teksty dotyczące różnych epok i autorów, będące prezentacją warsztatu filologicznego. Równie ważna jest część ze szkicami krytycznymi („Lektury”). Ukazują się w niej nie tyle recenzje książek naukowych, ile raczej wnikliwe rozważania i polemiki dotyczące ważnych publikacji literaturoznawczych. Osobny dział pisma („Transfer”) poświęcony jest tłumaczeniom, których znaczenie dla upowszechnienia różnorodnych metod badawczych albo koncepcji lektury jest nie do przecenienia. Z kolei część zarezerwowana na prace materiałowe („Odkrycia”), pokazuje warsztat literaturoznawczy oraz przybliża wyniki kwerend i innych poszukiwań. Na intelektualny deser proponujemy naszym Czytelnikom esej („Próby”).
