Poligramas es una revista científica de acceso abierto que opera con un modelo de publicación continua, a través de 2 números por año (enero-junio; julio-diciembre). Su propósito es validar y difundir artículos originales y revisiones de la literatura, tanto en inglés como en español, centrados en el campo de la Literatura. Los principales temas que aborda la revista incluyen: literatura, crítica e historia —literaria y cultural—; literatura colombiana, literatura latinoamericana y otras literaturas. Los manuscritos recibidos pasan por un riguroso proceso de revisión por pares bajo la modalidad de "doble ciego", en el cual participan investigadores activos y expertos en los temas tratados. La revista sirve como foro internacional para investigadores, docentes universitarios, estudiantes de pregrado y posgrado, así como para cualquier lector interesado en conocer las últimas investigaciones y debates en las áreas de Literatura. Los artículos publicados en Poligramas están disponibles de forma inmediata en acceso abierto, en formatos PDF y XML. La revista sigue el modelo de publicación “diamante”, lo que significa que no se aplican cargos a los autores en ninguna fase del proceso de publicación (sin APC o sin cargos por el procesamiento de los artículos) ya que cuenta con el apoyo financiero del Programa Editorial de la Universidad del Valle y de la Facultad de Humanidades. La revista emplea la licencia Creative Commons 4.0 Internacional (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) para todos sus artículos.
