Pathogens and Global Health is a journal of infectious disease and public health that focuses on translating molecular, immunological, genomic, and epidemiological knowledge into control measures for global health threats. The journal aims to provide a forum for global scientific, ethical, and political discussion of new innovative solutions for controlling and eradicating infectious diseases, particularly those that affect the world's poorest regions. Contributions on health issues from any region of the world and on pathogens, host-pathogen interactions, host response to infection and their molecular and cellular correlates with global health implications are encouraged. We do not welcome submissions of studies describing local epidemiological surveys that do not have general implications for public health or for understanding pathogenic mechanisms. Pathogens and Global Health is currently interested in original research articles, reviews and commentaries covering topics that come under the following themes: Antimicrobial resistance and the impact on healthcare costs and mortality Vector control technology and genomic surveillance Climate change linked to health outcomes, such as the spread of vector- and tick-borne diseases Pandemic Preparedness and Emerging Infectious Diseases, including health priorities, cost-benefit analyses and surveillance Microbiome and immunity Vaccines and novel platforms/potential vaccination candidates addressing global health issues, especially in low- and middle-income countries PGH encourages submissions of the following article types: Review articles: Review Articles provide a comprehensive summary of research on a topic, and a perspective on the state of the field and where it is heading. PGH welcomes the submission of unsolicited reviews. However, to ensure that a review is within the scope and interest of the journal, the Editor recommends that you contact the editorial office at pathogengh@imperial.ac.uk to discuss the topic further. Original Articles: The journal welcomes detailed and thoroughly described original research*, which should include the following headings: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Discussion. The research should be in an area of scientific importance within an infectious disease or public health scope. Research findings should be novel and contextualised for an interdisciplinary readership. Commentaries: The journal accepts commentaries, short articles on research, ideas, trends,
