Kwartalnik, zgodnie ze swoją tradycją, podejmuje tematy związane z szeroko rozumianą polską kulturą teatralną, a zarazem otwarty jest na inne konteksty studiów nad teatrem, dramatem i performansem oraz na interdyscyplinarne ujęcia. Publikuje także teksty prezentujące badania nad innymi kulturami performatywnymi i teatralnymi i systematycznie poszerza spektrum podejmowanych tematów, by zainteresować zarówno polskich, jak i międzynarodowych czytelników.
