About this journal Paladyn, Journal of Robotics, Intelligent Agents, and Artificial Intelligence is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of intelligent systems — whether embodied as robots, implemented as virtual agents, or designed through advanced artificial intelligence. The journal publishes original research at the intersection of robotics, intelligent agents, and artificial intelligence, with a special emphasis on systems that perceive, act, learn, and adapt. We welcome contributions that explore the principles, mechanisms, and applications of autonomy and intelligent behavior across physical, virtual, and hybrid domains. AI applications are welcome if they contribute to the understanding or development of intelligent behavior, agency, or autonomy — particularly in robotic, agent-based, or cognitively inspired systems. The journal encourages interdisciplinary perspectives that advance our knowledge of how artificial systems can sense, reason, interact, and evolve — independently or in collaboration with humans. Paladyn serves as a platform for cross-disciplinary exchange among engineers, computer scientists, neuroscientists, cognitive scientists, and researchers in related fields. Our mission is to foster innovation and insight into how artificial systems can sense, reason, interact, and evolve — independently or in collaboration with humans.
