Âmbito A Revista Onco.News é uma revista científica editada pela AEOP - Associação de Enfermagem Oncológica Portuguesa. A revista adota a publicação continua e fecha dois números por ano (junho e dezembro). Dirige-se a estudantes e investigadores, profissionais da área da Saúde e da Educação e divulga conhecimento científico produzido na área da Enfermagem Oncológica, com impacto no desenvolvimento científico da enfermagem. Exige-se que todos os artigos tenham profundidade científica, sejam originais e demonstrem clara relevância para o avanço científico na área da Oncologia Nacional e Internacional. Histórico da Revista Foi criada em janeiro de 2008 e o seu desenvolvimento tem permitido o acesso a vários indexantes e a passagem de uma publicação periódica e impressa fisicamente para uma publicação disponibilizada em acesso aberto, formato digital e online. A partir de janeiro de 2016, apenas se publica a versão electrónica, com a criação de um site específico para a Revista. Em 2022 a revista dá um salto qualitativo e adota a plataforma Open Journal Systems (OJS) para a gestão integral do fluxo editorial. Política Editorial A revista publica artigos originais (original papers), artigos de revisão sistemática e integrativa (review papers), artigos teóricos (Theoretical article), Estudos de Casos Clínicos (Clinical Case Studies), Artigos de não pesquisa (Non-Research articles) e Editoriais (Editorials). A revista aceita a submissão de trabalhos nos idiomas português, espanhol e inglês. Em todos os trabalhos cujo idioma original não é o inglês, é obrigatória a inclusão do título, resumo e palavras-chave neste idioma. Artigos Originais/Investigação – Relata trabalho original que envolva uma abordagem teorico-prática referente a pesquisas, indicando resultados conclusivos e significativos. Apresentam as seguintes secções: Título, Resumo, Palavras-chave, Abstract, Keywords, Introdução, Enquadramento/Fundamentação Teórica, Questões de Investigação, Metodologia, Resultados e Discussão, Conclusão e Referências Bibliográficas. Artigos Teóricos – O/A autor/a utiliza a teoria para verificar a validade de uma teoria, seja para refutá-la ou para apresentar uma nova teoria a partir da ótica de quem a constrói. Apresentam as seguintes secções: Título, Resumo, Palavras-chave, Abstract, Keywords, Introdução, Enquadramento/Fundamentação Teórica, Conclusão e Referências Bibliográficas.
