مجله نظریه های اجتماعی متفکران مسلمان دانشکده علوم اجتماعی دانشگاه تهران نشریهای علمی است که در زمینه نظریه های اجتماعی اندیشمندان و متفکران مسلمان به صورت فصلنامه منتشر می شود. این نشریه در حوزه علوم اجتماعی فعالیت می نماید و تازه ترین و جدیدترین یافته های علمی و پژوهشی پژوهشگران و اساتید حوزه و دانشگاه را به جامعه علمی معرفی می کند. متفکران مسلمان در سنت فکری خود واجد اندیشه ها و نظریات اجتماعی هستند که توجه به آنها می تواند در تولید علوم انسانی دینی و بومی اثرگذار باشد. از این رو این نشریه سعی دارد تا دیدگاه های مختلف در این حوزه را مورد توجه قرار دهد و مقالات علمی مرتبط با این رویکرد را منتشر سازد. فصلنامه علمی نظریه های اجتماعی متفکران مسلمان در تلاش است اهداف زیر را تحقق بخشد: 1. ایدههای نوین برای بازسازی علوم اجتماعی بر اساس منابع فکر اسلامی 2. ارائه بحث انتقادی اصیل پیرامون ماهیت علوم انسانی جدید و تعیین نسبت آن با دین 3. بازخوانی و تفسیر ایدههای متفکران شاخص مسلمان 4. سنتهای فکری، تاریخی و تمدنی تفکر اجتماعی مسلمین 5. کاربردیسازی تجربی دانش اجتماعی مسلمین 6. مطالعه تطبیقی بین اندیشمندان شاخص اسلامی و غیراسلامی
