Neurocase: Behavior, Cognition and Neuroscience is a journal of case studies in neuropsychology and behavioral neurology that speaks to the neural basis of cognition and behavior with a focus on the examination of brain-behavior relationships. Since its inception, Neurocase advanced understanding of the neural basis of cognition and behavior through novel case-based investigations. Multi-disciplinary integration and application of biomarkers (imaging, genetics, electrophysiology, plasma, cerebral spinal fluid and pathology) with cognitive and behavioral assessments to advance the understanding of brain-behavior relationships are of primary interest. Group-based studies or case series with clear relevance to individual cases are also considered. Neurocase welcomes new perspectives on classic neurobehavioral syndromes that highlight the heterogeneity of disease processes and challenge accepted dogma, as well as cases highlighting new assessments and novel treatment approaches. Topic reviews outside of the presentation of individual cases will not be considered. Consideration will be given to trainee first author papers to grow the field and maintain the tradition of case-based learning. The journal is agnostic to the philosophy or orientation of the individual assessments. Peer Review: All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is single anonymized and submission is online via ScholarOne Manuscripts. Disclaimer
