Мета журналу - висвітлення організаційних принципів та сучасних аспектів розвитку перинатальної медицини, формування здоров'я майбутніх поколінь з урахуванням стану здоров'я дитячого та дорослого населення в Україні та інших країнах зарубіжжя; обговорення актуальних проблем і передових технологій в неонатології та неонатальній хірургії, педіатрії, акушерстві та гінекології, медичній генетиці та інших дисциплінах; формування наукового і клінічного світогляду лікарів і медичних сестер в режимі міждисциплінарної інтеграції; допомога практичній охороні здоров'я у впровадженні напрямків доказової медицини; актуалізація принципів етики і деонтології для підвищення якості медичної допомоги жінкам репродуктивного віку, матерям і новонародженим, дітям всіх вікових категорій та дорослому населенню.
