Научно-теоретический журнал «Неофилология» – один из немногих в мире периодических изданий, предназначенных для обсуждения теоретических и практических проблем в области современной гуманитаристики. Отличительной особенностью журнала является разнообразная тематика статей, направленных на обсуждение актуальных вопросов в области традиционной и когнитивной лингвистики, теории текста и дискурса, речевой деятельности общества, межкультурной коммуникации, интернет-дискурса и языковой личности, что отражает «моментальный снимок» развития гуманитарной парадигмы XXI века – взгляд на язык, познание, культуру и сферы жизни общества как базовый гештальт образа современной неофилологической мысли. В своей издательской части концепция журнала опирается на русский язык, что обосновано ролью русского языка в сотрудничестве и взаимопонимании при освоении и присвоении человеческой культуры на межнациональном и глобальном уровнях. Русский язык укрепляет российское государство и одновременно является неотъемлемой и важнейшей частью национальной культуры, отражающей историю русского народа и его духовные искания. Цели журнала – широкое освещение новых направлений развития филологической науки, научных достижений гуманитарной направленности в современном многополярном мире; содействие сохранению и развитию русского языка в отечественных и зарубежных СМИ и в сети Интернет. Важнейшими задачами являются не только распространение результатов научных исследований в области современного гуманитарного знания, но и создание платформы для научного диалога и дискуссий, которые ведутся вокруг языка и когниции, языковой картины мира и динамики ее фрагментов, а также развития интереса российских и зарубежных ученых к этим проблемам в связи с практикой применения результатов исследований в осмыслении проблем взаимоотношения вербального и невербального в языке и когниции.
