La revista electrónica Naveg@mérica es una publicación científica semestral de la Asociación Española de Americanistas (AEA), editada por ésta con el apoyo técnico del Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Murcia. AEA es una organización no lucrativa, fundada en el año 1982, que reúne a estudiosos e investigadores para fomentar las actividades científicas y culturales americanistas en las diferentes ramas de las Ciencias Sociales y las Humanidades. Es el afán de mejorar lo que nos mueve a crear y ofrecer a nuestros asociados y asociadas, y al resto de la comunidad científica, tanto nacional como internacional, una herramienta que pueda ser útil para el desarrollo y difusión de trabajos en el ámbito del americanismo. Elegimos hacerlo mediante una revista exclusivamente virtual, la primera en España, abierta a la recepción de trabajos escritos en otras lenguas usuales en el continente americano además del español, es decir, inglés, italiano, francés y portugués. Naveg@mérica fija una serie de normas y consta de un comité editorial formado por miembros de la AEA. Los trabajos recibidos son evaluados por réferis, historiadores y otros investigadores provenientes de las ciencias sociales, acreditados por su compromiso con la producción de conocimiento reflexivo y que conforman el comité asesor. El objetivo es promover debates disciplinarios e interdisciplinarios; publicar investigación básica elaborada sobre fuentes de primera mano; y difundir resultados de estudios historiográficos. Para ello, Naveg@mérica consta de cuatro secciones: ARTÍCULOS, con trabajos originales e inéditos sobre temas de interés americanista. EXPERIENCIAS INVESTIGADORAS, con trabajos de autores que están consolidando su trayectoria investigadora, y aquí pueden encontrar un espacio para la difusión de sus resultados. DOCUMENTACIÓN AMERICANISTA sobre fuentes, métodos y herramientas de apoyo a la investigación. RESEÑAS BIBLIOGRÁFICAS y comentarios críticos de obras recientemente editadas.
