Profil czasopisma określamy z perspektywy integralnego i kompleksowego analizowania zjawisk edukacyjnych, która wyłania się z dyscyplin humanistycznych i społecznych oraz specjalności pedagogicznych. Naszym zamiarem jest, by czasopismo inicjowało dyskusję na temat takiego właśnie oglądu zjawisk edukacyjnych i uczestniczyło w promowaniu refleksji dotyczącej nauk o wychowaniu oraz ich instytucjonalizacji. W naszym zamyśle, czasopismo ma stanowić interdyscyplinarną przestrzeń służącą wymianie myśli, badań i doświadczeń. Tworząc tę przestrzeń, skupiamy uwagę na wielowymiarowym namyśle nad problematyką nauk o wychowaniu wraz z jego krytycznymi wariantami. Zarazem dbamy o uwzględnianie tych aspektów praktyczności pedagogiki, które wymagają wysokiego poziomu refleksyjności. Towarzyszy nam bowiem cel ciągłego poszerzania perspektyw analizy problematyki edukacyjnej. Tworzymy to czasopismo wspólnie ze wszystkimi, których zajmują aplikacyjne możliwości teorii i koncepcji pedagogicznych, podejść filozoficznych, antropologicznych, socjologicznych, psychologicznych oraz metodologicznych, dla tworzenia zintegrowanej perspektywy nauk o wychowaniu. Zaproszenie do udziału w tworzeniu czasopisma adresujemy zwłaszcza do tych autorów, którzy obejmują zagadnienia nauk o wychowaniu w sposób całościowy. Kształtując profil czasopisma, istotna jest dbałość o nadanie mu wymiaru międzynarodowego. W tym celu kierujemy zaproszenia do autorów spoza Polski, którzy podejmują problematykę nauk o wychowaniu, jak również do redaktorów numerów tematycznych i recenzentów zagranicznych.
