Materia Arquitectura es una revista académica internacional, peer-reviewed y de acceso abierto, publicada semestralmente por la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Universidad San Sebastián, Chile. Su objetivo es fomentar la investigación crítica y experimental sobre arquitectura y disciplinas afines, entendida no solo como una práctica proyectual, sino como un campo cultural, social, político y técnico en constante transformación. La revista publica artículos originales, ensayos visuales, entrevistas y reseñas que contribuyen a repensar los fundamentos, discursos y métodos de la arquitectura contemporánea. Su enfoque editorial está orientado a abrir nuevas preguntas y perspectivas en torno a la práctica y teoría arquitectónica, el diseño urbano, el paisaje, el patrimonio, las tecnologías del espacio, la cultura visual y las pedagogías del proyecto, entre otros temas. Cada número de Materia Arquitectura se organiza en torno a un eje temático propuesto por editores invitados, quienes curan contribuciones que vinculan la arquitectura con campos como el arte, la filosofía, la literatura, el cine, la geografía, la historia, la antropología o las ciencias sociales. De este modo, la revista busca ampliar los límites del pensamiento arquitectónico y propiciar un diálogo interdisciplinario informado, riguroso y propositivo. A diferencia de otras revistas centradas exclusivamente en la producción arquitectónica, Materia Arquitectura promueve una mirada crítica, situada y experimental sobre la disciplina, articulando investigaciones provenientes tanto del contexto latinoamericano como de otras geografías. Desde su base en Chile, la revista busca amplificar voces que emergen desde el sur global, contribuyendo a diversificar las epistemologías arquitectónicas y a enriquecer los debates internacionales desde otras latitudes. Todos los manuscritos son sometidos a una rigurosa evaluación por pares doble ciego. La revista está dirigida a investigadores, docentes, profesionales y estudiantes de arquitectura y áreas afines interesados en participar activamente en la construcción crítica del conocimiento disciplinar.
