La revista mAGAzin nació en el año 1996 como órgano de difusión de la actividad académica desarrollada por los miembros de la AGA (Asociación de Germanistas Andaluces) y se ha publicado desde entonces de modo ininterrumpido. En el año 2014, se redefinió como revista de Germanística Intercultural y abrió una sección central para la difusión de artículos científicos y trabajos de investigación que abordan la interculturalidad entre las lenguas alemana y española, tanto desde el punto de vista filológico, como didáctico y traductológico. El contenido de la revista está enmarcado en la Germanística y versa sobre lingüística, literatura, didáctica, traducción e interpretación, artes, humanidades, estudios culturales, con las lenguas español y alemán. Se pueden aceptar trabajos científicos que aborden otros idiomas, además del alemán, previa decisión por parte del Consejo de redacción. Los artículos de la sección central de Magazin se dirigen a un público interesado en la investigación y el análisis de conceptos y aspectos culturales, cubriendo un nicho de investigación no abordado por otras revistas. Magazin contiene otras secciones que no están sometidas al proceso de revisión por pares, como la de didáctica intercultural, de gran interés para la enseñanza en educación primaria, secundaria y universitaria, así como en Escuelas Oficiales de Idiomas en España (EOI) y centros de idiomas en las universidades. Esta sección presenta trabajos en los que se reflejan y se proyectan actividades didácticas y sugerencias de los docentes, con el objetivo de tejer una red profesional. En la sección Otriversos se destaca la visión intercultural a través de experiencias desde diversas perspectivas y en la sección de reseñas se ponen de relieve las novedades bibliográficas y las actividades relacionadas con la cultura alemana. El Consejo de redacción de mAGAzin. Revista de Germanística Intercultural decidirá sobre la aceptación para su publicación de los artículos recibidos a partir de los informes confidenciales proporcionados por evaluadores externos (v. Proceso de evaluación por pares). La revista aplica un sistema de evaluación de doble ciego que garantiza el anonimato de autores y revisores. Los autores presentarán artículos inéditos y garantizarán que no han sido presentados anteriormente en otra publicación así como, en su caso, la conformidad de las autorías compartidas y el orden de aparición de las mismas.
