Scope
Aims, scope and focus
Lecturae tropatorum aims at launching a systematic rereading of the troubadours. The journal also seeks to act as a contribution to a future implementation of the Corpus des troubadours, as conceived by Ramon Aramon i Serra and Aurelio Roncaglia, though its contribution would remain completely independent from the network of academies within which the project was originally drawn up. The journal will focus therefore on interpretation rather than on new critical editions. As a rule an existing critical edition may be used, which should be checked and, where necessary, revised or emended. Should the need arise, a new edition may be prepared, in which case it should be accompanied by an appropriate critical apparatus.
