Cílem časopisu Kulturní studia je prezentovat výsledky výzkumů v oblasti kulturních studií a obecně v rámci sociálních a humanitních věd. Preferované příspěvky jsou na základě vlastního terénního výzkumu s použitím kvalitativních výzkumných metod. Časopis se zaměřuje na publikování statí týkajících se kolektivní identity a kolektivní paměti, etnicity, národnostních menšin, každodenního života.
