KIRU es una Revista científica especializada del área odontológica, de acceso abierto y revisada por pares, editada por la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad de San Martín de Porres (USMP), Lima, Perú. Es una publicación de periodicidad trimestral. El objetivo es publicar e incentivar la producción científica en el campo de la odontología, la salud pública bucal y la docencia universitaria, con el fin de contribuir con la promoción de la salud bucal, la prevención, recuperación y rehabilitación de los pacientes afectados por enfermedades del sistema estomatognático. Está dirigido a la comunidad odontológica y a los profesionales de la salud en general. Recibe contribuciones inéditas como: artículos originales, artículos de revisión, casos clínicos, artículos de opinión y cartas al editor, desarrollados por profesionales y estudiantes de nuestra institución e investigadores de las ciencias de las salud de otras instituciones nacionales y extranjeros. Proceso editorial 1. Revisión por el Comité Editorial. Los artículos son evaluados inicialmente por el comité editorial para evaluar el cumplimiento de las Directrices para autores, de los objetivos de la revista, de las buenas prácticas de ética en investigación, así como su aporte al conocimiento y relevancia. De estar conforme, el artículo propuesto pasa a ser evaluado con el software turnitin para el control de similitudes, si el informe arroja 20% o menos, continúa el proceso de revisión, de lo contrario se remitirá a los autores. Si todo está conforme el artículo pasará a la revisión por pares.
