Justicia es una revista científica que circula desde el año 1987 de manera impresa, y a partir del año 2017, se encuentra en formato electrónico haciendo uso de la plataforma OJS (Open Journal Systems v.3.1.1.0). Su frecuencia de publicación es semestral, publicando en los meses de enero y julio. Publica artículos originales, de revisión y reflexión en idioma español, inglés y portugués; bajo la modalidad Open acces y Licencia Creative Commons Atribución 4.0 Internacional; sus artículos son arbitrados a través de un proceso de doble ciego. El promedio de los artículos publicados por semestre es 12 y las normas utilizadas para su elaboración es APA séptima edición, versión actualizada 2019. Tiene como propósito difundir conocimientos a nivel nacional e internacional, enfocándose en las comunidades científicas de las ciencias sociales, especialmente en el ámbito de las ciencias jurídicas, y metajurídicas como la filosofía jurídica, la sociología jurídica, la antropología jurídica, la psicología forense y la historia del derecho. Justicia, es financiada en su totalidad por ediciones Universidad Simón Bolívar, la cual, acoge como fundamentación ética y de buenas prácticas editoriales los Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, publicados en junio de 2015 por el Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE; disponible en: http://publicationethics.org/.
