Jurnal Sosiologi Agama Indonesia (JSAI) is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal focusing on the sociology of religion and the broader sociological study of society, culture, institutions, communities, identities, and social change. JSAI examines religion as a belief system, social institution, cultural practice, collective identity, source of authority, moral framework, and element of everyday life. The journal also recognizes that religious and social life are interconnected with education, family, culture, economy, politics, welfare, technology, environment, health, development, and other dimensions of society. JSAI therefore welcomes both studies that directly investigate religious or socio-religious phenomena and broader sociological studies that contribute to understanding Indonesian, Southeast Asian, and comparable societies. The journal publishes original research articles, theoretical and conceptual articles, historical studies, and rigorous review articles using qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, comparative, historical, ethnographic, and interdisciplinary approaches.
