Journal of the Selva Andina Animal Science es una revista Internacional de edición semestral, fundada el 25 de septiembre del año 2011 gracias a la visión y esfuerzo dedicado del Departamento de Enseñanza e Investigación en Bioquímica & Microbiología (D.E.I. & B.M.) y la Junta Directiva del Consejo Superior de Investigación en Ciencia & Biotecnologíade la Fundación Selva Andina Research Society, con el fin de promover y difundir investigaciones inéditas en áreas de sanidad animal, ecología de enfermedades animales, taxonomía y sistemática veterinaria, medicina de la conservación, genética animal, crecimiento, anatomía, fisiología y reproducción animal, nutrición animal, producción animal, productos animales, Biotecnología animal y tópicos especiales vinculados a las Ciencias Animales y Zootecnia. La revista acepta, en particular las Investigaciones Básicas y Aplicadas en Higiene de la Leche, Patología Clínica, Ensayos Clínicos, Epizootiología, Reproducción Animal, Zoohigiene, Biomodelos, Reproducción, Nutrición de No Rumiantes, Nutrición de Rumiantes, Impacto de la Salud Ambiental, Procesos Productivos y áreas relacionadas con estas. Journal of the Selva Andina Animal Science, apoya las políticas para registro de ensayos clínicos de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) y del International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), reconociendo la importancia de esas iniciativas para el registro y divulgación internacional de información sobre estudios clínicos, en acceso abierto. En consecuencia, solamente se aceptarán para publicación, a partir de 2007, los artículos de investigaciones clínicas que hayan recibido un número de identificación en uno de los Registros de Ensayos Clínicos validados por los criterios establecidos por OMS e ICMJE, cuyas direcciones están disponibles en el sitio del ICMJE. El número de identificación se deberá registrar al final del resumen. Publica artículos científicos inéditos, elaborados por Investigadores, Profesionales, Estudiantes de Postgrado y Pregrado, Instituciones Públicas y Privadas, Organizaciones no Gubernamentales e Investigadores y Profesionales de todo el mundo. Con base en la normativa de la revista Journal of the Selva Andina Animal Science, los autores de los artículos científicos, tienen cuatro derechos sobre sus manuscritos: presentarlo en público, preparar trabajos derivados, reproducirlos y distribuirlos.
