Journal of Shalamar Medical & Dental College (JSHMDC) is the official journal of the Shalamar Medical and Dental College Lahore, Pakistan, and is published bi-annually by Shalamar Medical and Dental College, Lahore, Pakistan. JSHMDC follows the ICMJE Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals. It is published by the Shalamar Medical and Dental College, Shalimar Link Road, Mughalpura, Lahore, Pakistan. THERE ARE NO ARTICLE SUBMISSION, PROCESSING, AND PUBLICATION CHARGES. AIMS AND SCOPES: JSHMDC aims to promote research in medical and allied health sciences. It is devoted to publishing recent advances in research, with particular emphasis on clarity of presentation and precision of data. It covers various medical fields, including basic medical sciences, clinical sciences, dentistry, allied health sciences, nursing, medical education, psychology, public health, and biomedical sciences. It publishes original research articles, case reports, case series, epidemiological studies, commentaries, letters to the editor, and review articles. Editorials are also invited for publication on emerging health issues. The Journal also publishes undergraduate medical Students' research. All articles submitted for publication are prepared as per “Uniform requirements for submission to biomedical journals” by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). JSHMDC strongly advocates ethical medical journalism by upholding the highest standards of research and publication ethics. All research articles are subjected to a peer review process. Any misconduct noticed during or after publication will be dealt with according to the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
