Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs is a peer reviewed research journal published since 1979. The journal understands minority status as produced rather than given, and provides an intellectual home for scholars working across Islamic thought, legal studies, theology and the social-scientific study of Islam and Muslim communities in minority and minoritised contexts. The journal examines Muslim life as it relates to Islamic law, interfaith engagement, political and civic participation, structural and systemic Islamophobia, theological and spiritual life and Muslim futures in a world divided along nation-state lines. It welcomes studies of Muslimness that reflects critically on the diasporic condition of the Ummah, understood as a form of existential "homelessness" that Muslims experience as political subjects. We actively seek voices from the Global Majority, ensuring that scholarship is not confined to Euro-American paradigms, and we encourage comparative and relational analyses that situate Muslim minority and minoritised experiences within a globalised world. Peer Review Statement All research articles and review articles in Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs have been subjected to initial editorial screening and double anonymous peer review by at least two independent referees. Book reviews and comments are assessed by the Editors but are not externally peer reviewed.
