The Journal of Extracellular Vesicles is dedicated to advancing the field of extracellular vesicles (EVs) including foundational biology, cutting-edge technologies and translational applications. We aim to shape the EV field and propel it forward for the benefit of science and society. Journal of Extracellular Vesicles is an official journal of the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles. Our editorial board aims to bring together leading experts from academia, industry, and regulatory bodies to foster scientific excellence, innovation, and reproducibility in EV research. We welcome contributions that deepen our understanding of EV biology and promote the practical application of this knowledge. We are particularly interested in submissions in the following areas: Molecular and Cellular Mechanisms of EV Biogenesis and Signaling (all organisms) EVs in Health and Development (all organisms) EVs in Disease Mechanisms and Pathology (all organisms) EVs in inter-organism interactions EV-related technologies, methods, and models (all organisms) (including single vesicles techniques) EVs as Biomarkers and Clinical Indicators (all organisms) Therapeutic Applications of EVs (including bioengineering and synthetic biology) (all organisms) Translational Medicine, Clinical Trials and Regulatory Science In silico studies and applications for EV Biology (including bioinformatics and AI) EV characterisation studies, including omics which elucidate EV biology. Emerging Topics and Interdisciplinary Frontiers, including controversial or paradigm-challenging findings Education, Collaboration and Communication Initiatives that advance the field and promote reproducibility. The journal accepts original research papers, review articles, short communications, technical reports, position papers, editorials, and letters to the Editor. Supplementary material in the form of large datasets, protocols, videos etc. is encouraged. The journal operates a single-blind peer review policy. All articles will be made freely and permanently available online through gold open access publication.
