Aims and Scope The Journal of Biostatistics and Epidemiology (JBE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal providing a leading platform for methodological, applied, and interdisciplinary research across biostatistics, epidemiology, health data science, and related quantitative disciplines in health and biomedical sciences. JBE bridges the gap between statistical and epidemiological innovation and their practical application in clinical research, public health, and biomedical science. The journal particularly encourages research that is rigorous, reproducible, transparent, and impactful — with real potential to inform evidence-based decisions in medicine and global health. Scope and Areas of Interest JBE welcomes high-quality manuscripts addressing, but not limited to, the following topics: Biostatistical Methods Advanced statistical modeling: generalized linear/mixed models, hierarchical and multilevel models, Bayesian methods Survival analysis, time-to-event, and recurrent event modeling Missing data methods, measurement error, sensitivity analysis Sample size, power, and adaptive clinical trial design Statistical methods for high-dimensional, omics, and imaging data Resampling methods, simulation studies, and statistical computing Epidemiological Methods and Study Design Causal inference: directed acyclic graphs, propensity scores, instrumental variables, target trial emulation Observational, experimental, quasi-experimental, and longitudinal study design Systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and network meta-analyses (following PRISMA) Pharmacoepidemiology, environmental epidemiology, social epidemiology Infectious disease epidemiology, outbreak analysis, and pandemic modeling Machine Learning, AI, and Health Data Science Supervised, unsupervised, and semi-supervised learning in clinical and population health contexts Deep learning for medical imaging, text mining, and health signals Explainable AI (XAI), fairness, and bias in healthcare algorithms Large language models (LLMs) and generative AI in health research Federated learning and privacy-preserving methods in health data Precision Medicine and Genomics Statistical genetics: GWAS, polygenic risk scores, Mendelian randomization Multi-omics integration: genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics Bioinformatics methods and computational biology pipelines Biomarker discovery, validation, and clinical utility assessment Real-World Evidence and Health Systems Research Analysis of el
