Starting in the fall of 2026, JAWER will be refocusing our publication strategy towards scientific and technical challenges and associated solutions in and for major water, hydraulic, coastal and underground water related infrastructure projects. We welcome innovative solutions at their design or implementation stage covering areas such as: integrated water resources management and catchment hydraulics measures to adapt water resource systems and hydraulic structures to climate change modelling environmental problems in rivers, lakes and catchments hydraulic machinery and structures hydraulics applied to water supply, treatment and drainage systems (including outfalls) water quality, security and governance in an engineering context environmental monitoring maritime hydraulics ecohydraulics flood risk modelling and management water-related hazards deep tunnels Particular emphasis is given to articles that highlight scientific excellence and technological innovations in these projects, and on reproducible, innovative methods specifically showcasing studies on interfacing technology-based engineering solutions within the hydro-environment and its ecological values and services which are applicable to a global audience.
