Key themes include: labour/capital relations; social differentiation including class, gender, caste, race, ethnicity, andage; science, technology, and knowledge politics; ecological change and environmental health; social mobilisation and political struggle; state and business politics; markets, global production networks, and commodity frontiers; changing farming practices; ideology and discourse; land relations; energy, water, and resource extraction; development interventions; household and social reproduction; migration and demographic change. Submissions are welcomed from political economists, sociologists, geographers, anthropologists, political scientists, economists, historians, and legal scholars. The journal publishes original research. Book reviews and review articles are by invitation only. Special issue proposals should be sent to the editors and will be reviewed on a quarterly basis.
