Cel i zakres tematyczny czasopisma "Jednak Książki" to wydawane elektronicznie czasopismo Instytutu Filologii Polskiej, zajmujące się problematyką literaturoznawczą (teoria, historia i krytyka literacka), ale uwzględniające również w szerokim zakresie tematykę filozoficzną, antropologiczną, społeczną oraz artystyczną. Mamy nadzieję odnajdywać stopniowo swoją odrębność wśród innych humanistycznych czasopism naukowych w żywej reakcji redaktorów i autorów na współczesne problemy intelektualne i społeczne, a także w próbie dokonywania przez nich rozmaitych interdyscyplinarnych połączeń i konfrontacji. Mamy nadzieję, że gdańskie ulokowanie pozwoli naszemu pismu, naszemu środowisku, czerpać ożywczą energię z pamięci o doświadczeniu (zwłaszcza pierwszej, sierpniowej) Solidarności. Najważniejszym celem redakcji jest, oczywiście, prowadzenie czasopisma o wysokim poziomie merytorycznym.
