İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Dergisi sadece sosyal bilimler temel alanından makaleleri kabul etmektedir. Sosyal Bilim alanındaki özgün Türkçe ve İngilizce bilimsel makalelerin yayımlandığı bir süreli yayındır. İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Dergisi hakemli bir dergidir ve 2009 yılından beri yayımlanmaktadır. Sosyal bilimleri temel alan İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Dergisinde (İAÜD); iletişim ve medya çalışmaları, sosyoloji, psikoloji, siyaset bilimi, uluslararası ilişkiler, dil ve edebiyat çalışmaları, tarih ve kültürel çalışmalar, ekonomi ve işletme, eğitim bilimleri, hukuk ve insan hakları, güzel sanatlar gibi alanlarda ve sosyal bilimler alanına dahil olan tüm alanlarda yer alan çalışmaları değerlendirme sürecine almaktadır. İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Dergisi, yılda dört defa basılı ve elektronik olarak yayınlanan hakemli ve bilimsel bir dergidir. Orijinal teorik ve/veya deneysel çalışma, çeşitli bilimsel araştırma yöntemlerinin uygulandığı makaleler kabul edilir. Makaleler kör hakemlik sistemine göre değerlendirilerek yayın sürecine alınır. İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Dergisi editör kurulu, ulusal ve uluslararası uzmanların değerlendirmesiyle makalelerin kabul edilmesi veya edilmemesinde yetkilidir.
