Investigative Magnetic Resonance Imaging (Investig Magn Reson Imaging, iMRI) is a peer-reviewed open access journal covering from the basic sciences to clinical applications of magnetic resonance in the medical field. The journal focuses on original investigations for all aspects of the development and use of nuclear magnetic resonance and electron paramagnetic resonance techniques for medical applications. Reports of original investigations in the areas of mathematics, computing, engineering, physics, biophysics, chemistry, biochemistry, and physiology directly relevant to magnetic resonance as well as methodology-oriented clinical studies will be accepted. First published in 1997, iMRI is the official journal of the Korean Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (KSMRM) (https://www.ksmrm.org/index.php?). The journal was initially named the Journal of the Korean Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and renamed iMRI in January 2015. In September 2026, following discussions with the Asian Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ASMRM), iMRI became the official journal of both the KSMRM and ASMRM. The journal publishes quarterly in English on the last day of March, June, September, and December. iMRI covers full-length original articles, reviews, perspectives, case reports, technical notes, letters to the editor, and editorials. iMRI is indexed/tracked/covered by Scopus, DOAJ, KoreaMed, KoreaMed Synapse, KoMCI, CrossRef, Korea Citation Index (KCI), and Google Scholar. Full text is freely available from: https://i-mri.org. should be submitted online through the website http://submit.i-mri.org. Other correspondences can be sent via e-mail to the editorial office (imri@ksmrm.org).
