Investigación e Innovación en Ingenierías (III) es una revista científica arbitrada, de acceso abierto, Ruta Diamante, sin cargos por procesamiento de artículos (APC) y de publicación continua, editada semestralmente por la Universidad Simón Bolívar (Colombia). La revista publica investigaciones originales e inéditas enfocadas en cuatro líneas temáticas de frontera científica, alineadas con las siguientes clasificaciones ASJC de Scopus: Inteligencia Artificial (ASJC 1702) Aplicaciones de Ciencias de la Computación (ASJC 1706) Energías Renovables y Sostenibilidad (ASJC 2105) Ingeniería de Control y Sistemas (ASJC 2207) Dentro de estas líneas, la revista da prioridad a investigaciones que aporten evidencia metodológica rigurosa y contribuyan de forma original al debate científico internacional en automatización, optimización de procesos, modelado computacional y desarrollo tecnológico aplicado a la ingeniería. La revista está dirigida a investigadores, académicos y profesionales que desarrollen soluciones novedosas y basadas en evidencia dentro de estas cuatro líneas. Se publica en formato digital y acepta artículos en español y principalmente en inglés que no hayan sido publicados previamente en otro medio. No se cobra por publicar. Todos los artículos son sometidos a arbitraje doble ciego por pares evaluadores externos, quienes valoran la calidad de los contenidos, la originalidad, la estructura, la actualidad de las referencias bibliográficas y el cumplimiento de los principios éticos de la investigación. Las citas y referencias siguen el estilo IEEE. Frecuencia de publicación La revista recibe artículos para evaluación durante todo el año, bajo la modalidad de publicación continua, con edición semestral (enero-junio y julio-diciembre). Institución editora y modelo de financiamiento Investigación e Innovación en Ingenierías es propiedad y está financiada por la Universidad Simón Bolívar (Colombia), institución de educación superior sin ánimo de lucro. La revista no cobra a sus autores por el procesamiento de manuscritos (APC), y espera de ellos una participación activa y cooperativa en el proceso editorial. Política de marketing Investigación e Innovación en Ingenierías no realiza marketing directo por correo electrónico, telemarketing o publicidad dirigida a autores/as o convocatorias de artículos. La revista confía en la investigación auténtica y en la validez que le otorga el proceso de evaluación por pares.
