Aims, scope and focus
Objectives This refereed bi-monthly journal publishes significant research, theoretical works, technical and methodological applications, case studies, short communications, and surveys and reviews concerned with all aspects of Industrial Engineering. The journal is intended to provide articles of interest to both researchers and practitioners. The journal is subscription-based but offers individual per-paper Open Access. Scope The journal emphasizes the use of engineering design and analysis and strives to balance research and application. The journal covers all aspects of industrial engineering, particularly: Data mining and Computational Intelligence Production Planning and Control Operation Research Service Engineering (Healthcare, etc.) Sustainability (Energy, Environment, etc.) Information Systems and Technology Management of Technology Manufacturing Work Measurement, Human Factors, and Ergonomics Quality, Reliability, Maintenance Engineering Supply Chain Management Logistics and Material Handling Product Design and Development Statistical Analysis Modeling and Simulation, Homeland Security (Defense, Disaster Preparedness, etc.) Manufacturing Process Manufacturing Systems The journal encourages interdisciplinary studies requiring the use of Industrial Engineering techniques and methodologies. From time to time, the journal publishes invited keynote papers and special issues devoted to specific topics.
