NOTICE In Memoriam: John Norman Miksic It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Emeritus Professor John Norman Miksic, who left us on 25 October 2025 at the age of 79. John Miksic was an invaluable colleague who joined the editorial board of International Journal of Asia Pacific Studies (IJAPS) since its inception in 2005. An eminent scholar of Southeast Asian Studies, he specialised in the fields of archaeology, anthropology, and historical studies. His book, Singapore and the Silk Road of the Sea, 1300–1800 (NUS Press, 2013), remains a cornerstone in Southeast Asian maritime archaeology and won him the inaugural Singapore History Prize in 2018. As an editorial member of IJAPS, John Miksic was a supportive and committed colleague. He was always kind and humble, and generous with his advice and insights. He will be missed. Our deepest condolences and thoughts go to his family. Grace V. S. ChinEditor-in-Chief
