Журнал «Интеракция. Интервью. Интерпретация» публикует материалы исследований, выполненных в рамках качественной социологии или с использованием смешанного дизайна исследования, а также материалы исследований смежных дисциплин (антропология, этнография, урбанистика, культурология и др.), если они сфокусированы на изучение субъективных смыслов, микросоциальности и культурного своеобразия локальных сообществ. Журнал открыт для методологических дискуссий и исследовательской рефлексии. В названии журнала акцентирована единая составляющая − ИНТЕР, которая соотносится прежде всего с социальной субъектностью, социальным взаимодействием, мягкими техниками получения информации и разнообразными контекстами интерпретации. Особое внимание уделяется инновационным, поисковым исследовательским практикам, использованию нетрадиционных техник и источников информации, а также новым проблемным областям в изучении микроуровня социальных отношений.
