Imafronte es la revista de Historia del Arte del Dpto. de Historia del Arte de la Universidad de Murcia. Fue creada en 1985 y desde 2018 se publica exclusivamente en versión digital. Es una revista que proporciona sus contenidos en acceso abierto y a texto completo, bajo el principio de que permitir el acceso libre a los resultados de la investigación repercute en un mayor intercambio del conocimiento a nivel global. Desde su plataforma digital se puede acceder a los contenidos de todos los números. La revista está abierta a investigadores de la comunidad científica internacional que se ocupen de temas relacionados con la Historia del Arte y publica artículos en castellano, inglés, francés, alemán e italiano. Va dirigida a la comunidad universitaria: investigadores, expertos y profesionales de la Historia del Arte, así como a todas aquellas personas interesadas en la temática de la revista. Es de periodicidad anual. La revista publicará artículos de investigación original de cualquier aspecto de la Historia del Arte en sus diferentes facetas: arquitectura, escultura, pintura, grabado, diseño, medios icónicos de masas, vídeo, ilustración, miniatura, glíptica, numismática, medallística, artes escénicas o cualquier otro campo en el que la imagen sea el objeto de estudio. Puesto que la cultura visual exige un punto de vista interdisciplinar, la Historia del Arte podrá converger con disciplinas afines como la Historia, la Arqueología, la Geografía y las Bellas Artes.
