Humanidades Médicas es la publicación científica del Centro de Desarrollo de las Ciencias Sociales y Humanísticas en Salud (CENDECSA), patrocinada por la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Camagüey, Cuba. El Centro es una entidad perteneciente al Sistema de Ciencia e Innovación Tecnológica de la República de Cuba categorizado por el Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología y el Medio Ambiente como Unidad de Desarrollo e Innovación (Resolución 174/2016), asentada con el número de registro 008316 en el Registro Nacional de Entidades de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación. La revista Humanidades Médicas certificada por el Sistema de Certificación de Publicaciones Seriadas Científico- Tecnológicas, e inscrita en el Registro Nacional de Publicaciones Seriadas con el no. 2006, presenta como misión la publicación de los resultados científicos de las áreas de Ciencias Sociales y Humanísticas aplicadas a los problemas de Salud. Constituye el órgano representativo de comunicación para los resultados científicos obtenidos por la actividad de investigación, innovación y posgrado correspondiente a la gestión de la entidad de ciencia. Forma parte de la colección SciELO-Cuba, y de SciELO citation index de la Web de la ciencia (WOS). Humanidades Médicas exige originalidad de los materiales, publica artículos originales y revisiones bibliográficas, que representan un campo de conocimiento en el ámbito de las ciencias sociales y las humanísticas aplicadas a las ciencias de la Salud los cuales constituyen muestras de los resultados de investigaciones e innovaciones de profesionales de Cuba y el mundo.
