História – Revista da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto foi fundada em 1970 e foi editada com periodicidade anual desde 1984. Em 2011, a Revista iniciou uma nova Série, com um novo formato e programa editorial, tendo-se, em 2017, dado início à sua publicação com periodicidade semestral e exclusivamente em formato online. História – Revista da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto é uma revista internacional com revisão por pares, que tem por objetivo publicar e disseminar investigação inovadora em Históra. Apesar de ser historicamente orientada, análises comparativas e multidisciplinares incluem-se igualmente no seu âmbito e orientação editorial. Cada volume de História – Revista da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto é dedicado a um tema específico atempadamente divulgado, embora a Revista também aceite contribuições para a secção "Outros Estudos".
