La revista Historia & Guerra se interesa por el estudio del fenómeno bélico en un sentido amplio, abarcando guerras y otros conflictos armados, desde múltiples ángulos de análisis (militar, económico, diplomático, político, social y cultural). En consecuencia, está abierta a contribuciones procedentes de diversas perspectivas, de carácter empírico o teórico-metodológico. El alcance espacial de las colaboraciones es amplio y abarca escalas geográficas variadas, desde los escenarios locales hasta los transnacionales en los que discurren los conflictos bélicos. Serán especialmente bienvenidos los estudios de caso referidos a América Latina en general y a Argentina en particular. En cuanto al alcance temporal, se centra en guerras y conflictos que han moldeado el mundo contemporáneo, desde el inicio del "siglo XIX largo" hasta la actualidad.
