Global Epidemiology provides a platform for high-quality research, methodological innovation, and scholarly discourse in epidemiology. Embracing a global perspective, the journal seeks to publish articles that improve understanding of disease patterns, determinants, and health outcomes across diverse populations and settings. We welcome submissions that address epidemiological challenges at local, national, and international levels, fostering cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural collaboration. At Global Epidemiology, we work closely with authors to provide constructive feedback and clear, transparent communication at every stage of the publication process.Global Epidemiology does not make editorial decisions on the basis of the interest of a study or its likely impact. We seek to publish all scientifically valid studies. For articles reporting epidemiologic results this includes a testable research question, the use of suitable study design and sound data collection methods and analysis. The quality of fit-for-purpose study design and data collection methods are of paramount importance for being considered. For methodological articles this includes a sound research question that is addressed in a manner that is either grounded in existing theories or articulates a new theoretical framework. We invite manuscripts covering a broad spectrum of epidemiological research areas, including but not limited to:Descriptive and Analytical Epidemiology: Disease distribution, prevalence, incidence, and risk factors across populations.Spatial and Spatio-Temporal Epidemiology: Geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, and spatial analysis of health data.Genetic and Genomic Epidemiology: Genetic susceptibility, gene-environment interactions, and genomics in disease etiology.Environmental and Occupational Epidemiology: Environmental exposures and occupational risks affecting health.Biostatistics and Quantitative Methods: Development and application of statistical techniques, modeling approaches, causal inference, machine learning, and data science in epidemiology.Methodological Developments and Innovations: New epidemiologic methods and statistical tools.Philosophy of Epidemiology: Research on the conceptual and theoretical foundations of epidemiology.Quantitative Bias and Uncertainty Analysis: Validation studies, bias assessment, sensitivity analyses, and methods to quantify uncertainty.Interventional and Public Health Epidemiology: Evaluation of prevention strategies, screening programs, and health policies.Meta-Analyses and Systematic Reviews: Evidence synthesis to inform practice and policy.Emerging Topics: Digital epidemiology, big data analytics, infectious disease modeling, climate change impacts, and health technology assessments.Global and International Perspectives: Public health issues in developing countries and underserved populations. Qualitative Methods: Development and validation of questionnaires and methods to synthesize narratives in a rigorous manner.Pharmacological and Clinical Epidemiology: Reports of clinical trials and investigations into real-word evidence of efficacy of pharmacological interventions. These would be particularly interesting if they are framed in the international context.Policy Analyses and Risk Assessments: Integration of evidence that leverages epidemiology to formulating policies and performing regulatory risk assessments, including cost-benefit analyses. Replication and Reproducibility: Replicate or reproduce existing research to help establish consistency of findings and/or identify methodological challenges in previous work. Also research on open epidemiology methods to enable transparent and reproducible science.Article TypesGlobal Epidemiology welcomes submissions of various article formats, including:Original Research Reports: Empirical studies, including null results, that advance epidemiologic knowledge.Review Articles: Critical syntheses of existing literature, including systemat
