Gestión y Ambiente está orientada a la publicación de artículos originales basados en resultados transdisciplinarios de investigación relacionados con temas de ambiente y desarrollo. La revista tiene como objetivo contribuir al desarrollo de los estudios ambientales, como un esfuerzo por comprender las íntimas relaciones que se establecen entre la multiplicidad del quehacer humano y las complejas funciones y estructuras de los sistemas naturales. Los manuscritos sometidos deben ser de una alta calidad académica, interdisciplinarios, ajustarse a los ejes temáticos de la revista y contribuir a la comprensión y solución de los problemas ambientales locales, regionales y globales. Los idiomas aceptados son el español e inglés. Esta publicación pertenece y es financiada por la Universidad Nacional de Colombia - Instituto de Estudios Ambientales (IDEA-Bogotá) junto con la Fundación Universidad de América, y busca visibilizar los resultados de las investigaciones realizadas por diferentes expertos, especialistas y todo el público interesado en las ciencias ambientales. La revista publica dos números anuales en convocatoria permanente. Además de los números regulares, publica números especiales sobre temáticas de importancia ambiental. Se publican artículos de investigación, estudios de caso, reflexión, revisión, comunicaciones cortas de pronta publicación, comentarios o críticas a los artículos publicados (solo en la versión digital), adendas/retracciones, erratas y cartas editoriales escritas por el editor o miembros del Comité Editorial. El Comité Editorial se reserva el derecho de recibir contribuciones. Todos los contenidos serán evaluados en doble ciego. Teniendo en cuenta que la revista trabaja en el contexto de la interdisciplinariedad, recibe manuscritos o trabajos de las áreas del conocimiento de las Ciencias Sociales, Economía, Ingeniería, Derecho y Humanidades, agrupando las contribuciones en las siguientes temáticas: Agroecología y desarrollo rural. Se incluyen temas relacionados a temas agrarios: agricultura no convencional (ecológica, cero, bajos en insumos agrícolas), reducción de la pobreza rural, mercados campesinos. Gestión ambiental. Se relacionan temas que aborden la evaluación de impacto por afectaciones al medio físico (paisaje, litosfera, atmósfera e hidrósfera), biótico (flora y fauna) y social (infraestructura, economía, cultura, salud y poblaciones humanas) por proyectos obras o actividades antrópicas; nuevos indicadores y metodologías d
